Boys – Provincial Programs 2016

2016 Team BC (spring/summer)

Boy’s T2T (U15): Provincial athletes will be selected from the Regional program (Feb – April) in April. The provincial program is 30 hours of training April-July.

In July 2016, teams will travel to Calgary, Alberta for the T2T National Championships. Please see the Provincial T2T page for all program information.

Boy’s T2C (U18): Provincial athletes will be selected from the trials in March. The provincial program is 30 hours of training April-June.

In June, selected athletes will participate in the India Club Tournament in Surrey.  Please see the Provincial T2C page for all program information.

Age Groups for 2016 Season

Train to Train (T2T) eligibility – athletes born in 2001, 2002, 2003

Train to Compete (T2C) eligibility – athletes born in 1998, 1999, 2000

The Provincial team program is targeted at BC’s best athletes. Through focused and periodized training, BC athletes are provided the opportunity to work with some of Canada’s best field hockey coaches in an inspiring and competitive environment. Teams prepare for invitational tournaments and the National Championships.

BC’s consistent success over the past few decades can be attributed to our pursuit of excellence and our athlete-centered performance model. Provincial Team programs commence training the first weekend of June, unless they are preparing for a multi-sport games.
