Registered athletes receive a Fitness Preparation Program by the FHBC Sport Science Coach. It outlines:
- player training plans
- how to reduce injury
- how to enhance athletic performance
- muscular strength & endurance
- co-ordination and movement stability
- balance and range of motion
- fitness and recovery
Athletes are fitness tested (max velocity Yo Yo test) to become eligible for and maintain eligibility in high performance programs. Please see the Trial Policy under ‘Players – Policies & Procedures‘
Sport Science
Registered athletes take part in various sport science elements, such as:
- 60m sprint tests
- anthropometric testing (height, weight, jump, reach)
- nutrition management in sport (training and competition)
- Concussion education
- Functional Movement Screening and Strategies
