FIH Hockey World League Round 2
International field hockey is almost here! The FIH Hockey World League Round 2 tournament will be at Rutledge Field in West Vancouver from April 1st to 9th. The Canadian Women’s National Team will be competing against Belarus, Chile, India, Mexico, Trinidad & Tobago, and Uruguay in an attempt to qualify for World League Round 3 and a chance to reach the 2018 Women’s World Cup!Team Canada’s eighteen-woman roster was recently announced for World League. Ten BC athletes will proudly wear the maple leaf at the beginning of April. See the full roster on Field Hockey Canada’s website.

If you are unable to attend the Hockey World League Round 2 tournament at the beginning of the tournament, but still want to watch some international hockey, then you’re in luck! Canada will be playing a test series against Chile and India this week to serve as a warm up for the main event. Canada will be playing Chile (Wednesday March 22nd) and on Friday March 24th at 4:45pm. Chile and India will face off on Saturday March 25th at 5:00pm. Canada and India will play the last game of the series on Sunday March 26th at 3:00pm. All games will be played at Rutledge Field. This is a great opportunity to see the Canadian team in action, as well as some local officiating talent that will be running the test series.
Americas Masters Games
Join us at Wright Field between Saturday August 27 and Friday September 2 for the Field Hockey component of Americas Masters Games! We look forward to hosting the Mixed and Womens divisions of Field Hockey during this time.
