Who is this for and what do I need to know?

  • U18 (2002-2004) and U15 (2005-2007) athletes who live or attend school on Vancouver Island
  • $20 (non-refundable) paid online
  • Deadline to register is 12pm on Wednesday, October 2. No exceptions!
  • Trials will take place October 4 at the UVic field hockey pitch, @6pm, and October 6 at the Cowichan Sportsplex in Duncan, @10am, depending on your age group (check the Programs Overviews below)

Registration Open for U23 Team BC Trials!

Do you want a chance to represent BC at the 2019 National Championships? Are you born between the years of 1996 – 2001? Register for the U23 Team BC Trials today!

Field Hockey BC is excited to launch the 2019 Learn 2 Win Provincial Program for U23 male and female athletes.  Selected athletes will participate in a 10 hour training program in June and will compete in the U23 National Championships from June 29 – July 1. Interested athletes can register for the trial free of charge!

Trials:

  • Men: Saturday, May 25 from 6 – 9 pm at Tamanawis Park, Surrey
  • Women: Sunday, May 26 from 4:30 – 7:30 pm at Eric Hamber, Vancouver

Trials are open to all BC athletes eligible by birth year. Registration will remain open until Wednesday, May 22nd at 12 pm. Click here for more information on the U23 Learn 2 Win Provincial Program. Register for the Interior Regional Program Trials!

Registration is now open for the Interior Girls Regional Program Trials! All U15 and U18 female athletes with some field hockey experience residing in and around Kelowna/Interior BC are encouraged to register for the trial. Visit the Online Registration Page to secure your spot!

Trial registration will be open until 12 pm on Wednesday, January 9th. The cost of the trial is $10 per athlete. The trial will take place on Sunday, January 13th from 11:45 am – 2:15 pm at Kelowna CNC. Selections will be announced the following Wednesday.

The Interior Regional Program is a 20 hour program which will run from January to April. Program cost is typically $400-500 per athlete. Selected players can expect 1-2 training sessions per week with highly trained coaches, and the opportunity to play in the FHBC Regional Tournament in the spring, which is the selection point for Team BC. Register for the Vancouver Island Regional Trials!

Registration is now open for the Boys and Girls Vancouver Island Regional Program Trials! All U15 and U18 male and female athletes residing on Vancouver Island are invited to register for the trial. Visit the Online Registration Page to secure your spot!

Trial registration will be open until 12 pm on Wednesday, October 17th. The cost of the trial is $10 per athlete for boys and $20 per athlete for girls. The trial for U18 Girls and U15/U18 Boys will take place on Friday, October 19th from 6 – 8pm at the University of Victoria Field Hockey pitch. The trial for the U15 Girls will be held on Sunday, October 21st from 10am – 12pm at the Cowichan Sportsplex. Selections will be announced the following Wednesday.
