Athlete Eligibility

  • Male athletes born in 2000, 2001, 2002
  • Must live (or attend school) within one of the FHBC Regions

Program Levy: $680 per athlete. Will include field time, coach honouraria, Kukri clothing, medical supplies & equipment, regional tournament and education. Mainland athletes $175 deposit due October 11.

Squads: 1 Mainland, 1 Island

Training: 30-40 hours from October to April, 1-2 sessions/week. Training can take place over holidays. Please see Players – Training Schedules
Training Locations:
Mainland: Vancouver (Hamber/UBC), West Vancouver (Rutledge), Surrey (Tamanawis Park)
Island: UVic

Regional Tournament April 13-15

Provincial selections will be made from the Regional Tournament.
30 hours provincial training will commence in May.

Coaches: FHBC and FHC Men’s National Coaches

Key dates:
April 21-23 Regional Tournament: selection point
May 13: Provincial Intake at Richmond Oval
May 14: first on-field session
May-July: 30 hours training, sport science, strength & conditioning, functional movement skills
June 23-26: possible participation at India Club Tournament
July: U18 National Championship, Surrey, BC

The provincial levy will include coach and manager honouraria, turf time, fitness, education, concussion workshop, equipment, Tournament costs and Kukri clothing. It does not include the cost of food or accommodation. Traveling athletes will be eligible for a travel subsidy.

Fitness Program

Athletes are expected to achieve or surpass the standard Yo Yo test scores at trials. Please see the Fitness Test Policy.
