 Athlete Program Event Volunteers Minimize
We are currently recruiting volunteers for our Athlete Program Events in April. Volunteer positions for our L2T Festival in July will be posted at a later date. Fill out this survey if you are interested in being part of our high performance events this year!

Ball Chasers and Technical Officials are needed for the following tournaments:

T2T Festival (U15) Girls – April 8-10 (Tamanawis, Surrey, BC)
T2C Tournament (U18) Girls – April 22-24 (University of Victoria, Victoria, BC)

Job Descriptions (view downloadable PDF here)

Ball Chasers: Working under the guidance of the Technical Officials, ball chasers will be responsible for gathering any loose balls leaving the field proper and placing them at their designated spots on field perimeter. We are looking for a number of energetic youth to fill this role, as there are games throughout the entire weekend.

Technical Officials: Working under the guidance of the Technical Director, Technical Officials are responsible for assisting in the running of the match from the technical table.  Prior to the match, Technical Officials will assist with game set-up, measuring of sticks and ensuring all player uniform requirements are met.  During the match, duties will include managing the timing of the match, accurately recording the game proceedings onto score sheets, monitoring substitutions and penalty times, as well as ensuring proper behavior is exhibited amongst the teams, managers and coaches.  Following the match, Technical Officials will ensure that game sheets have been filled out properly, all necessary people have signed off on the match and that the field is properly maintained prior to the next game.  Interested candidates should have a good understanding of the game of field hockey.  Previous experience is an asset but not necessary.  (Please note for the L2T festival, the Technical table duties will be modified).

Time commitment varies depending on the interest of the candidate, the position of interest and scheduling requirements.
